Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 DOE

Benefits: Health insurance stipend; flexible schedule; technology stipend

Classification: Full-time

Location: Home-based; location flexible within the Intermountain West, preferably ID, MT, WY or CO. Ability for regular travel is expected.

Summary of Position

Position Overview:
The Redside Foundation seeks a visionary and dynamic Executive Director to lead our mission and spearhead fundraising initiatives that ensure the long-term growth and impact of our organization. As the face of The Redside Foundation, you will harness your passion for the outdoors and your strategic leadership skills to build relationships, secure resources, and amplify our impact within the guiding community and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, marketing, grant writing, and major gift programs.

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders to secure financial support and long-term commitments.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Serve as a strategic leader, working closely with the Board of Directors to define and execute the foundation’s mission, vision, and goals

  • Manage and inspire a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to deliver impactful programs and initiatives.

Advocacy and Outreach:

  • Act as the primary spokesperson for The Redside Foundation, representing the organization at events, conferences, and in media engagements.

  • Strengthen connections with the outdoor guiding community to understand their needs and shape relevant programs.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgeting, program development, compliance, and communications.

  • Ensure the organization maintains transparency, integrity, and high standards of accountability.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven track record of successful fundraising, with experience in major gifts, sponsorships, and grant writing.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a history of driving results and inspiring teams.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, especially with donors, partners, and community stakeholders.

  • Passion for the outdoors and a genuine commitment to supporting the guiding community.

  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

  • Experience with marketing and public relations.

  • Prior experience in the non-profit sector or with organizations supporting mission driven work. Experience working with outdoor professionals is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree in business or related field a plus).
