Community Resilience Training
Learn the Strategies: Learn four specific strategies to help you make decisions in the field, build a more resilient nervous system, help support anxious/fearful guests, and reduce the impact of post-traumatic stress in first responder roles.
Learn the Science: Learn about the neuroscience behind how trauma and stress impact our bodies. How do our five senses play a role in building resilient bodies and minds?
Build Resiliency: Practice the four body-based strategies with relevant scenarios in river, rock, and mountaineering disciplines. Begin your own resiliency journey.
The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® trains community members to not only help themselves but to help others within their wider social network. The goal of CRM is to create trauma-informed and resiliency-focused communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system. CRM skills help people understand their nervous system and learn to track sensations connected to their own well-being. The primary focus of this skills-based model is to reset the nervous system’s natural balance. Using the wisdom of their own bodies, people experience rapid relief from stress-related symptoms, as well as an increased sense of control over future wellness. Please RSVP to info@redsidefoundation.org
